Proposal to transfer CGU insurance licence

More than 100 brokers and clients attended the CGU Benchmark Awards hosted by CGU in Sydney last Thursday.
The awards, now in their 21st year, recognise clients and their brokers that have implemented outstanding risk management solutions.
We’d like to congratulate all of the finalists, and winners of these awards.
The winners this year were:
The City of Sydney – Award for excellence in Motor Fleet Risk Management
(Broker: Brett MacKay from Aon)
The City of Sydney received the motor fleet award for its focus on driver safety and reducing pollution. Its initiatives include a system for fleet driving that promotes a zero-crash culture and features a dedicated driver development officer who oversees driver training.
Cleanway Waste Management – Award for excellence in Corporate Property Risk Management
(Broker: Robert Lamont from Aon)
Cleanway Waste Management took the property benchmark award for its fixed protection and suppression systems across six sites that hold significant quantities of flammable and combustible liquids, plus its standardised, stringent controls and procedures.
Brown Brothers – Award for excellence in Individual Site Risk Management
(Broker: Neil Buttery from Aon)
Winemaker Brown Brothers received the individual site award for its culture of embracing risk management and property protection.
PACE Aged Care – Award for excellence in Risk, Resilience and Recovery
(Broker: Tony Martin from Warren Saunders Insurance Brokers)
PACE Aged Care won the risk, resilience and recovery category for creating a risk management framework for all new members.
