To kick off the year, we conducted a Management Liability webinar which covered features and benefits and new online transaction availability via CGU Connect. Due to the popularity of the webinar we have included the recorded version for your convenience and the supporting materials if you were unable to attend.
We have also developed a short video you may like to use with your clients which outlines the top 5 most common small business claims according to our Business Pack claims data. The video is complimented with some tips on how your clients can minimise these risks. This is the first of a series outlining various claims insights and stats for you to share with your clients.
As you know, having Business Interruption Insurance can mean the difference of staying in business or being forced to shut down. According to a recent survey of small businesses we found less than a quarter of business owners surveyed had Business Interruption Insurance, yet one in seven had experienced a shortfall because of a business interruption in the past 12 months. This is further explored in our Business Interruption article.
Following the launch of the claims portal last year, we will be further improving it by providing document upload functionality. Keep an eye out later this month, for full details.
I am pleased to announce complementary Best Doctors membership for all partners and customers with a Countrypak policy. We know rural customers can find it difficult to access specialist medical advice and this service will provide access to the top 3-5% medical specialists from around the world. More information about this service is in this month’s edition of Insights.
Later this month we will launch the’ Community Coach’ campaign featuring players from Collingwood and Waratahs who will provide everyday tips to help make our lives a little safer. This will be shared across social and digital channels, supported with a dedicated webpage within cgu.com.au where content will be regularly updated.
And finally, I was lucky enough to attend Tropfest and celebrate small businesses and aspiring film makers. I encourage you to take a look at the short film we produced demonstrating how much small businesses rely on these types of events to continue to thrive.
