Recently I attended the Victoria Market Day, and was pleased to see so many of you take the time out of your day to come and speak with us. Our Market Days are a wonderful opportunity for us to build and strengthen our understanding of the challenges you face and delve deeper into how we can better support you and your clients.
Following the extreme weather events Australia experienced at the end of 2014 and into 2015, the Insurance Council of Australia have done some research into the financial impact of each key incident to the insurance industry. This month we look at what this means for you and your clients. And in our next edition we will review the forecast for the upcoming catastrophe season.
Over the last couple of months we have talked about a number of initiatives being developed, particularly in the technology space. I am pleased to say that this month, uSurvey extended its capability to now include a commercial risk question set to enable you to submit commercial risk information in real time directly to our CGU underwriters.
In the coming weeks we will also release a digital contact list app which will allow you to source our contact details at your finger tips.
Also releasing shortly is the refreshed Adviser Portal. Aside from visually improving, it will also be device responsive and will enable us to provide you a more customised experience.
Earlier this month we were at the NIBA conference and enjoyed catching up with those who were able to attend. The sessions were a great representation of the varied industry we operate in and our own Kent Hannam also presented on the future of farming, and the implications for you and your clients.
