Proposal to transfer CGU insurance licence
October 28, 2016
Last week we held a market day in NSW, with over 300 partners attending to hear from CGU’s leadership about our future and plans to deliver a market leading partnership and services to NSW.
IAG Commercial Insurance Chief Executive Ben Bessell opened the day by speaking about the value of advice, and CGU’s deep commitment to helping customers understand just how valuable the advice of a knowledgeable insurance broker is to their business.
Cricket Legend Glen McGrath followed Ben, and spoke about the trusted advice he had received throughout his career.
Executive General Manager Broker Business, Donna Walker, shared her vision for combining the CGU and Lumley businesses to offer a market leading local team with deep underwriting, claims and business development expertise.
Jen Mitchell, Executive General Manager Claims, spoke about CGU’s customer centric claims service, shining a light on the personal side of claims for our customers.
Andrew Ziolkowski, Executive General Manager Underwriting, closed the morning session with an overview of the changing marketplace, and how CGU Underwriting will be partnering with brokers through product development, risk awareness and pricing.
In the afternoon our Underwriting experts presented on key trends in Liability, Professional Risks, and Construction and Engineering.
As the Official Insurance Partner of the NSW Waratahs, Bernard Foley made a guest appearance along with the 2014 Super Rugby Championship trophy. The star player was available for photos and autographs with attendees answering questions about the season as well as his experience in kicking the winning goal in the 2014 final.
We hope our NSW partners found the day informative and relevant, and are looking forward to our next market day which will be in South Australia next week!
