Proposal to transfer CGU insurance licence

As we come to the end of another year, I wanted to thank you all for your support throughout the last 12 months. Every year it seems that our industry steps up to a new level and 2015 is no different – it has been an intense and rewarding year for all of us here at CGU.
2015 saw us bring together our CGU and Lumley businesses, delivering the ‘best of both’ through combining the knowledge and expertise of our people, delivering new product wordings, considering our underwriting focus as a result of a larger market share, developing a broader risk management framework and enhancing our already strong claims expertise.
In 2015 we also delivered a number of new technologies and innovations to help you see it through for your customers, including our full service claims portal, our contact list app, and the usurvey app for farm and commercial surveys that make it easier and more efficient when liaising with our underwriters.
We are heavily committed to continue investing in innovation and creating products and services for our partners and customers that are built for the future, and we look forward to continuing to partner with you to collectively seize the opportunities these trends present.
Over the past year we’ve been able to help countless Australians see it through in times of need. Because of this, we’ve been awarded the Australian Insurance Industry Awards’ 2015 Large General Insurance Company of the Year, 2015 NIBA General Insurer of the Year and 2015 Insurance Business Magazine’s Insurer of the Year. But this doesn’t mean our work is done. We will strive to continue working hard to help you and your customers see it through for years to come.
