CGU celebrates small business success

Last week, CGU launched a new national advertising campaign, that promotes the value of having the right insurance advice.

The campaign tells the story of David Sonter of Sonters Fern Nursery, whose family business was destroyed in the 2013 Blue Mountains Bushfires. The integrated advertisements centre on David's recovery and ability to see it through, with the assistance of his family, staff, insurance adviser Leo di Paulo and CGU. 

Targeting SME owners, the campaign is scheduled to appear on television, radio and online nationally. The TV advertisements will feature around the summer cricket broadcast, including integrated interviews with cricket greats on valuable advice they've received during their careers.

"We are delighted to share David's story which is one many Australian business owners can relate to. A family business that has worked hard, sought the right advice and faced some adversity. The Sonters embody our brand promise of 'seeing it through'", said Julia Nelson, Senior Brand Manager.

CGU's campaign in April this year, on the story of Max the oyster farmer, garnered excellent results for the brand, with audiences connecting to the distinctive and emotional story. Max's story attracted more than 500,000 views online and CGU is expecting David's story to gain similar results.
