Business Interruption Webinar Series

In the highly competitive world of small business, the slightest little hitch can send your clients’ business into a tailspin. Most small business owners would like to think they are prepared for life’s hurdles by insuring their premises, their employees and their equipment.

CGU’s survey of nearly 500 small businesses found the following insights:

1 in 4 small businesses would not survive if they had to close doors for three months.

38% of small businesses would shut down if they experienced a business disruption during a busy period in the year.

1 in 7 businesses experienced a shortfall in income because of a business interruption in the past 12 months.

Despite the findings, less than 25% of business owners actually have Business Interruption (BI) insurance.
 
To increase awareness about Business Interruptions and to help our intermediary partners engage with their potential customers we launched a series of Business Interruption webinars in March this year.
 
We are halfway through the series and were extremely pleased to see so much interest in this topic. We had over 1000 attendees at each of the sessions and we’re very much looking forward to the next two sessions.
