Stefan Martin and Tom Rockliff have been in sensational form. They are currently the ranked #1 and #3 players based on form over the last three weeks. Stefan has had scores of 151, 124 and 138 and this week plays against Hawthorn’s Ben McEvoy who allowed Ryder (85pts) to have his best game of the year last week.
This week, the Lions play at Aurora Stadium against the Hawks, a team that allowed seven Port Adelaide players to score over 100+ last week. Aurora Stadium is a ground renowned for bleeding Fantasy points and it will happen again on Saturday afternoon.
Jordan Lewis has scored 108 and 152 and Sam Mitchell has averaged 123 at Aurora this year. Although he’s not playing, Luke Hodge has scored 146, 131 and 159 in his last three and even the super Gary Ablett has had a field day here in the past with scores of 157 and 135.
This game will get nasty!
LUKE HODGE MUST BE TRADED
Luke Hodge(DEF/MID, $580,000) is owned by over 40% of Fantasy teams. After receiving a two week suspension, his Fantasy season is now done and dusted and he must be traded this week. I have done the research and here are the best options.
Sam Gilbert (DEF, $410,000) will make you a truck load of cash. This $170,000 is some handy cash that can be used to fix up other issues. Gilbert has turned back the clock in recent weeks scoring 97, 96 and 87. He has been playing midfield for the Saints and is scoring like a premium.
Corey Enright (DEF, $478,000) will pocket you $102,000 and he has averaged 103 in his last three games. He has a great record against the Pies, a team he scored 150 against in round 6. The Tigers defenders racked up big numbers on the Pies last week with Houli 121, Hunt, 118 and Rance 105 dominating.
Jarrad McVeigh (DEF/MID, $506,000) is the dearest of the three, but he’s still cheap based on his previous scores of 112 and 125. He plays the Saints this week and if you can get yourself into the Fantasy Grand Final next weekend, he plays the Gold Coast Suns. Bang!
BEST PICK: Tom Rockliff
Rocky has scored 140 and 142 in his last two games this year but only had 96 on the Hawks last time he met them which happened to be at Aurora Stadium. He tagged Sam Mitchell that day and is very unlikely to do that again. He’ll be huge on a Fantasy friendly ground.
NEXT BEST: Todd Goldstein
Goldstein hasn’t slowed down and this week, those who want to try something different should ride the ‘Goldy Train’ once again. He had 111 last week and meets Tom Campbell under the Etihad roof on Saturday. Who’s Tom Campbell you ask? Good question… that’s why you should lock him in.
THE ROUGHIE: Matt Priddis
Priddis has an amazing record against the Crows and must be considered as a roughie this week. He averages 111 against them in his last six games and even had 136 against them earlier this year. Love the hair, love the man!
