Tens of thousands of cinephiles will flock to the iconic Parramatta Park this Saturday when Australia’s most prestigious short film festival, Tropfest Australia, takes to the big screen.
For the first time in the event’s 27-year history, audiences from around the globe will be able to watch all 16 finalist films from the comfort of their own homes, exclusively on Facebook Watch.
The show, Tropfest All Access, will feature the winners’ announcement, exclusive footage from throughout the night, including the juror’s deliberations and interviews with celebrities.
Airing live on the Tropfest Facebook page, Tropfest All Access will be hosted by Australia’s most fabulous film-geek Maude Garrett and will be broadcast the day after the event on Sunday, February 10.
“I’m thrilled to be asked back to Australia to host Tropfest All Accesslive on Facebook happening Sunday, February 10th! I’m looking forward to interviewing some amazing celebrity talent and celebrate the finalist films,” Garrett explained.
In partnership with Facebook Australia and Tropfest’s foundation partner CGU Insurance, the first-ever Facebook Live interactive show will allow viewers to comment, ask questions, contribute to the conversation with the show’s guests, answer polls, and win a major prize throughout the programme – it’s all completely interactive.
The big prize for viewers who tune in to the Tropest All Accessshow will be two tickets to the Tribecca Film Festival in New York, including flights and accommodation, courtesy of CGU Insurance (T&Cs apply).
To win, simply tune in to the Tropfest All Accessshow on February 10 from 4pm to 7pm and interact with Maude and other fellow Troppers by asking and answering questions during the live-stream.
