Initial Level WHS Training for Health & Safety Representatives (Approved by WorkCover NSW)

This course provides an introduction to key practices and principles to assist Health and Safety Representatives in their role in reducing incidents, injury, and illness in the workplace.

Learn about relevant legislation and key principles which enable Health and Safety Representatives to perform their role. Training is approved by WorkCover NSW.

  • August 1, 7, 14, 21 & 28, 9am - 5pm.
  • September 4, 5, 6, 11 & 12, 9am - 5pm.
  • October 9, 10, 11, 16 & 17, 9am - 5pm.
  • November 7, 8, 13, 14 & 20, 9am - 5pm.
  • December 3, 4, 5, 10 & 11, 9am - 5pm.

Fees $910(+GST), or $819(+GST) for CGU Workers Compensation policy holders (group bookings @ $774pp). Book Online

Who should attend?

Occupational Health and Safety Representatives and Health and Safety Committee Members who have not previously attended approved Representatives training. This training would also be applicable for Supervisors and Managers.

This course is designed to develop the OHS knowledge and skills required of a safety representative or committee member. With learning outcomes approved by the relevant state's OHS authority, attendance at the course meets the requirement for training in accordance with OHS legislation. Health and Safety Representatives have the right to attend an approved course of their choice.

What do I receive?

Participants who successfully complete the course receive a certificate, approved by the state’s OHS authority, confirming their attendance.

There is an option to enrol in a nationally recognised qualification, Certificate III Occupational Health and Safety (BSB30707)¹. This option requires both attendance at the course and completion of additional project work. For more information contact your nearest CGU office.
