New-for-old replacement
All CGU Home and Contents insurance policies include generous new-for-old replacement cover on most contents, which means that when you make a claim you end up with the amount required to replace the item as new today.
Due to the introduction of flood cover in our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), for policies commencing from 1 February 2012, our PDS has been updated to include this new policy benefit. When obtaining the relevant PDS for your policy, check the commencement date of your policy. For policies with a commencement date from 1 February 2012, use the forms and brochures with flood cover on the right hand side of this page. For policies prior to 31 January 2012, use the forms and brochures without flood cover located below these.
