Reporting Insurance Fraud
Each year, CGU pays claims that help thousands of people during their time of need. The overwhelming majority of these claims are legitimate; however, a small number raise suspicion and require further examination to determine their validity.
Insurance fraud affects all policyholders as policy premiums are calculated on an assessment of risk for the insurer. Fraudulent claims increase every premium by an estimated $70 to $100 every year.
In an effort to reduce the impact fraudulent claims have on our customers, we encourage the community to help prevent insurance fraud by reporting it.
