CGU reflects on 160 years

CGU turned 160 years old in Australia last year and this webpage holds some the many 1000s of great stories about our business and the valuable work our people have done through the years.

These are stories of true long-term partnerships, true friendships and events where we have been able to make a real and tangible difference to people's lives and businesses. 

We are incredibly proud of our history and the contribution our business, our people and our partners have made in supporting Australians and Australian communities in their times of need.

We've been there when you've needed us - and we fully intend to continue to be so for a long long time to come.

So yes, our 160th birthday was about the past; but it's also how CGU came to be the business it is today - and it's from here that we now look to the future. 

Thank you for the great support and friendships we have made along the way - and thanks too to our people for the fantastic service and commitment they have made and continue to make every day to enable CGU to serve and support our customers and partners to the fullest.
